Summary of the year

Dear AEJeST Community, we are about to end this year, 2022. Despite the economic and health difficulties we are currently experiencing, the members of the AEJeST have continued to work in favour of safeguarding the JDT and the social values they promote. The CA has continued to work intensively on each of the projects. A week ago, we organized one last meeting to continue coordinating the actions for the next ones. Among the multiple news, I would like to highlight several topics:

The festival Tocatì, World Cultural Heritage!

Photo: The delegation representing supporters of Tocatì’s candidacy in Morocco included Aga President Paolo Avigo, Aga Vice President Giuseppe Giacon, Valentina Lapiccirella Zingari, Verona Mayor Damiano Tommasi and Culture Councilor and relations with UNESCO Marta Ugolini.
The Tocatì festival become world cultural heritage. The candidacy of the festival of traditional games and sports was supported by several countries (Croatia, Belgium, France, Cyprus)and was positively evaluated during the 17th session of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Committee of Unesco in Rabat, Morocco.

Today we have the pleasure of sharing with all of you some pleasant news. AEJeST has been re-accredited by UNESCO, Intangible Cultural Heritage Section (ICH) as an NGO, for the next 4 years.
