7th PLJOČKE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL

The 7th PLJOČKE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL was held in Croatia, in Svetvinčenat, in the Istrian region, on September 8 and 9, 2023. The meeting, which was held as part of the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the UNESCO Convention, was opened by the mayor of the Municipality of Svetvinčenat, Dean Perković, after which the attendees were greeted by Jesica Acquavita, vice-president of the Istrian Region, Davor Trupković, Chief Conservator of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, and Rut Carek, Secretary General of the Croatian Commission for UNESCO.
The international expert conference was held on Friday, hosting nine participants from six different countries and taking it outside Europe for the first time. The meeting was coordinated by Dr. Pere Lavega, president of AEJeST, with the participation of Dr. sc. Romana Lekić and Igor Jovanović from Croatia, Joan Orti Ferreres from Spain, Željko Bjeljac from Serbia, Zhaira Ben Chaabane from Tunisia, Valentina Lapiccirella Zingari and Francesca Berti from Italy, and Ante Vujnović from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Pljočkanje and slingshot competitions were held on Saturday.
