El Fuerte Museum reopens

by José Ángel Hoyos Perote in Uncategorised

After three years closed, first because of the pandemic and then because of the problems of the company in charge of its management, this first weekend in May El Fuerte opens its doors to the residents of La Almunia de doña Godina and later to the general public.
Installed in the former Convent of San Lorenzo, it brings together samples of traditional games, mainly from Spain and Europe, classified by families. Inaugurated in 2017, El Fuerte became a reality thanks to the disinterested donation of all its pieces by the great JDT specialist Fernando Maestro, and the good management of the deputy mayor Juan José Moreno.
El Fuerte is the administrative headquarters of the European Association of Traditional Games and Sports-AEJeST.
